Convert a lead

  • If you are a user with the Root or Admin role, you can complete the operation.
  • Ordinary users need to have the following permissions on their profile to complete this operation.
    • Allow user to handle Leads
    • Allow user to handle Quotes
    • Allow user to handle Cases
    • Allow user to handle Accounts

If it has happened that your potential customer decides to close a deal with you and your product or service, the ideal is to transform their information into an account and a contact, with the purpose to formalize the relationship.

Easily convert your lead into an account and contact with just a few clicks.

  • An account is intended to represent an entity with the purpose of representing a formal relationship with your customer, whether this be an individual person, a small business, or a large organization.
  • Add contacts to an account to represent the individual identity of people who belong to that account. An account can have multiple contacts.

To convert a lead into a pair of contact-account records, open the app menu and click on the Leads item. Search and select the lead you want to convert, then open the form options menu and click the Convert to Account option.

Add or edit the information necessary to cover the account information, such as name and addresses. In the second part of the form, add information for the individual person who will be related to the new account.

Click the Convert button to create a new account and contact. A dialog will ask about the changes you want to make. Click Convert this lead to confirm.

You will be redirected to the page showing the details of the new account.

tip

If you convert a lead which has existing cases or quotes, these will be transferred to the new contact created.
