Pattern composition
Each folio format must contain one number pattern. Combine letters, numbers, symbols and some patterns to create your custom format.
The table below shows possible ways to use patterns to generate some formats.

Be careful when editing these values. Every time a new record is generated (for example, any Quote, Contact, Account, etc...), the number of the folio is updated to increment by 1, based on the current number. That is, if you configure the number 1000 as the starting number for the contact folio and then you create 23 contacts, then you come back to view the folios again, you will notice that the reference number will be 1023 and the next folio number implies the number 1024. If you update the number of contact folios back to 1000, you will end with records with duplicated folio.
